The Maitland Saints have produced a stirring second half to defeat Wyong Lakes at Don Small Oval in the Black Diamond AFL first division on Saturday.

Patrick McMahon, Clinton Tull, Mark Haebich, Wade Beard, Robert Eddy and Corey Kennedy were Maitland’s best on ground.
Scoring was spread among nine goalkickers for the Saints, with Kennedy, Beard, Luke Damico and Justin Smith all booting two each.
The victory extended the Saints’ buffer over fifth-placed Wyong to eight points with one round remaining, ensuring Maitland will play in the finals.
Maitland also tasted success in the Black Diamond AFL second division with a gritty 7.10 (52) to 5.8 (38) win over Singleton at Rose Point Park.
