Speedway runs deep through the veins of Bolwarra Heights rider Alex Davies.
Not only does he live and breathe the sport himself these days but the love of two wheels was passed on from generations before him, including father Stephen and grandfather Keith.
And in 2013 the youngest of the trio made quite the impression on the track and achieved titles he had craved most of his life.
The 21-year-old was part of the Somerset Rebels squad which took out the league and cup double in the British Premier League, helped by Davies’ emphatic heat victory in the second leg of the grand final at home.
Davies also wore the green and gold colours of his country last year and clinched a silver medal at the Under-21 World Cup in Poland.
