East Maitland are the runaway leaders in B-grade on for and against after starting their season with a 56-0 win over West Wallsend last week, meaning the Griffins have racked up 110 points in their opening two games.
The Griffins scored 10 tries at King Edward Park on Saturday with centre Levi Dorn grabbing a hat-trick.
Five-eighth Luke Mercer and hooker Nathan Evans both scored doubles while Chad Irvine and Phil Adams crossed for one each.
Halfback Kade Hardy also added a try to go with his seven goals.
The Griffins will look to continue their strong start to the campaign when they host the Cessnock Cutters in round three on Saturday.
In A-grade, West Maitland was impressive in thrashing Dora Creek 40-18 at Workers Club Oval on Saturday.
The Red Dogs rebounded from their disappointing 56-16 loss to Windale in their return to A-grade last week with a solid 22-point win.
West Maitland will make their A-grade return to Coronation Oval on Saturday when they host Shortland.
In C-grade, Dungog edged out Lambton 24-22 at Ford Oval, Thornton Beresfield scraped past Raymond Terrace 28-24 at Lindsay Park and Paterson suffered a 32-12 defeat to Newcastle University.
It was a disappointing weekend for local teams in D-grade as Abermain lost 48-22 to Karuah, Clarence Town were beaten 32-18 by Gloucester, Hinton suffered a 30-14 reverse to Kotara while Woodberry were defeated 32-16 by Williamtown.
