The Griffins have back-to-back wins on the board in the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League A-Grade competition but have yet to get past the Red Dogs this year.
The Red Dogs won their earlier encounter 16-10 at King Edward Park and the Griffins will attempt to return the favour this time around.
The Griffins (13 points) are sitting in fifth position on the competition ladder and are within sight of Windale (14) and Shortland (16) while the Red Dogs (8) need this result to keep their semi-final aspirations alive.
