On Saturday night, 76 of the 1978-83 graduates of Maitland Girls’ High School came together again for their 35 year reunion at Telarah Bowling Club.
“It was a wonderful night,” said one of the reunion’s organisers, Trish Fuller.
“We had plenty of people travel from a long way to make it – one girl came all the way from Queensland.”
In the months leading up to the reunion, the former classmates had swapped countless photos of their schooldays which ran as a slideshow.
Ms Fuller said there were photos, memories and people who she had not seen in decades.
“I saw a girl I was in a [school] program with that I hadn’t seen since we left school,” she said.
“It was amazing, she came all the way from Wee Waa.”
The grades’ teachers Peter Goldman, Mark and Sue Holt and Heather Russell also attended the reunion.
Ms Fuller thanked organisers and schoolmates who made the journey.
