The roll out of the bins will start in January and will take about seven weeks.
The first collection will commence on Monday 6 March 2017.
Residents will be able to use the bins to recycle garden organics including grass clippings, prunings, weeds, leaves, and sticks and small branches.
The material will then be processed into mulch and compost that can be used on local parks, sporting grounds and agriculture rather than using up scarce landfill space.
