Radio personality Tanya Wilks has been named Maitland’s Australia Day ambassador for 2017. Ms Wilks, who co-hosts a popular breakfast radio program on KOFM, will be part of the festivities in Maitland Park on January 26. “Having gone to school in Morpeth I have always felt a strong connection to this area and it really is a privilege,” she said. “The Hunter has been so good to me and my family. It was something I couldn’t pass up.”
