Floating wheelchair’s give disabled people the opportunity to enter the water with their friends and families, instead of watching them from the sand.
Variety NSW Regional Director Jason Burke said the wheelchair can help disabled kids get the most out of their school holidays.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy a day at the beach and learn how to stay safe in the water irrespective of their physical or intellectual needs,” he said.
Cooks Hill SLSC Member Services Manager John Mayo said the donation will help add to the club’s services.
“Cooks Hill SLSC is committed to providing opportunities for kids and adults with disabilities to enjoy the beach and water,” he said. “The floating wheelchair is a great addition.”
