Stockland has unveiled plans for a seven screen Hoyts cinema complex in its $412 million redevelopment of Green Hills.

The cinema will be located within the new entertainment complex forming part of the redevelopment of the shopping centre which will open mid 2018.
The new 900-seat cinema will offer customers a number of experiences including powered recliner seating where guests can sit back and enjoy the movie in comfort and two Xtremescreens with Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Customers will also have the opportunity to enjoy Hoyts Lux, an unforgettable premium cinema experience offering gourmet food and wine selection with an in-cinema dining service.
Stockland Group Executive and CEO of Commercial Property John Schroder said the company is excited to welcome Hoyts to the new centre.
“Hoyts are renowned for putting the customer experience at the heart of their business and the new seven screen cinema will offer our customers the best movie-going experience in the region with all the latest blockbusters available day and night,” Mr Schroder said.
The new cinema will by the 16th Hoyts to open in NSW and the second Hoyts in the Newcastle and Hunter region offering cinema lovers a premium movie experience.
Hoyts group CEO Damian Keogh said the company is thrilled to be growing its footprint in key regions across NSW.
The Stockland Green Hills redevelopment, which started in January last year, continues to steam ahead.
On completion the centre will more than double in size to around 74,000 square metres and will feature the first new format David Jones department store in the Hunter and around 25 tenancies with a vibrant new dining and entertainment precinct that will be the biggest in the region.
The development is estimated to generate more than 2285 jobs – 1350 during construction and 1250 direct new full-time jobs in retail, customer service and hospitality and an estimated 1200 indirect jobs for local suppliers and service providers.
