They have spent the past week making her for the scarecrow competition and will visit the show tomorrow to see what other children have created.
Preschool educator Rachel Copeland said the children told her what they knew about scarecrows before they began creating one.
“We thought it would be nice for the children to be very involved in the process,” she said. “We wanted them to be contributing to each step and saying what they thought. They helped fill the stockings and the hands and the head, and they decided what she would wear.
“They chose the dress and hat out of their dress-up box and they wanted her to wear farm boots, so we bought a pair of gumboots.”
