The cream of the Hunter’s primary school rugby union players battled at Marcellin Park at the recent annual NSW Waratahs Primary Schools 7s competition.
Bolwarra Public School, Rathmines Public School, St Paul's Primary School Rutherford and a combined Hinton-Morpeth public schools team progressed to the regional finals after a round-robin series involving 10 schools from the Lower Hunter.
Bolwarra entered to two teams in the competition. Other competing schools included Hunter Valley Grammar School, Metford Public School, Gresford Public School, St Patrick’s Primary School Cessnock, and St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock.
Waratahs development officer George Gargoulakis said the quality of play from all teams was very impressive.

The top-two teams from the regional series progress to the state finals in Sydney.
