About 70 members of Maitland Senior Citizens and Pensioners Association gathered at the Senior Citizens Centre for the ceremony.
Maitland Senior Citizens and Pensioners Association life member and ex-serviceman Basil Stemp led the service.
Mr Stemp spoke about the Australian flag during the service and played several recordings including Taps and The Last Post.
He has run special Anzac services at the senior citizens centre as well as for Rotary, nursing homes and hospitals for decades.
Mr Stemp said he does the services for the elderly people who cannot get to an organised service on Anzac Day.
Mr Stemp served in the Australian Army from 1952 until 1974.
He fought in several conflicts including Vietnam, Korea and Japan.
