"They are both highly credentialled and we're quite excited. They are bright, young and dynamic. The program is really appealing,"
- Reverend George Garnsey
And it's an ambitious program at that.
The choir, which has been performing in Newcastle and the Hunter since 1996, will perform an adventurous combination of sacred and secular music, including works by Mozart and Charles Stanford, as well as spirituals and traditional folksongs from a number of countries.
The concert will be held at St James Anglican Church, Tank Street, Morpeth on Sunday, June 18 from 2pm.
"It will be the first concert for the choir's new co-directors Victoria Stanhope and Ellery Durrant," Reverend George Garnsey said. "They are both highly credentialled and we're quite excited. Ellery has graduated from Newcastle University with distinction as a Bachelor of Music specialising in choral conducting, and Victoria will complete her Bachelor of Music this year."They are bright, young and dynamic. The program is really appealing and it should be a splendid concert." Tickets $20.
