The first announcement for the youth-based music festival was unveiled on Tuesday and also features indie rock favourites The Preatures, multi-instrumentalist sensation Tash Sultana, hip-hop posse The Thundamentals, electronic golden girl Alison Wonderland and Canada’s EDM duo Zeds Dead headline the international contingent.
The initial artist announcement also includes Carmada, Colour Castle, Crooked Colours, Elk Road, Godlands, Golden Vessel, Hucci, Kinder, Kuren, Luude, Motez, Muto, Paces, Poolclvb, Tigerilla, Winston Surfshirt and a Triple J Unearthed winner.
Since The Presets completed the tour for their third album Pacifica in 2012, the Sydney electronic duo of Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes, have only performed sporadically.
But with a fourth album finally in production, This That could mark the relaunch of The Presets, who enjoyed massive success in the 2000s with songs like My People, Talk Like That and Are You The One?
Due to construction at Newcastle Foreshore for the Supercars, This That has been shifted to Wickham Park.
This That members can buy tickets from 9am Thursday and general sale begins 9am next Monday.
