The George ended Hills Solicitors’ amazing run of six consecutive minor premierships, which saw them take out the major prize in 2014 and 2016.

 Hills finished second, with Club Maitland City and Maitland Carpet Court third and fourth respectively.

CMC and Carpet Court start the semi-finals series when they meet in next Saturday’s elimination final.

The winner will progress to the preliminary final on September 2.

They will meet the loser of the top-two qualifying final between The George and Hills on August 26.

The George and Hills Solicitors had big wins to tune up for the upcoming finals series on Saturday.

The George defeated Club Maitland City 63-30 and Hills sent a warning out to their finals opponents with a 58-19 win against Tolsaf Cranes.

 Tolsaf, the Maitland Blacks team, had a strong season finishing sixth on the ladder and have signalled they will be a force in coming seasons.

Maitland Carpet Court had the weekend off after Royal Federal Hotel forfeited for the second week in a row.

Branxton GMP and The Bradford let their hair down and had a ball in their final game of the season, delivering a thriller in the process.

Branxton were narrow 36-34 winners and are another young team on the rise.

Elimination finals between third and fourth teams on the ladder will be held in all grades from under-10 up on Saturday.

The qualify final between the top two teams will be on August 26, with the winner progressing straight to the grand final

The winner of the elimination final and loser of the qualifying final meet in the preliminary final on September 2. The winner goes into the grand final on September 9.
