The annual beer lovers’ jaunt at Maitland Gaol kicks off the event’s second decade – after last year’s 10th anniversary attracted 4300 people across the weekend.
The event has built a strong reputation for attracting well-known artists and a wide range of brewers from the Hunter and beyond, with more than 80 craft beers tipped to have been featured this year.
Acclaimed Melbourne band, The Delta Riggs, rocked out on Saturday afternoon. Architecture in Helsinki was booked to headline on Sunday afternoon.
Events curator Jess Hartigan from Maitland City Council, which runs the festival, said “outstanding acts” had been locked in for this year’s event.
“We are confident Architecture in Helsinki and The Delta Riggs, along with all the other artists, will be the perfect complement to the fantastic range of Australian craft beer and delicious food on offer as part of the weekend event,” she said.
