It’s a nice gesture for anyone to help those less fortunate, but when a 7-year-old says he wants to give his toys to kids who don’t have any, it certainly has an extra tug on the heartstrings.

That’s exactly what Brayden Kennedy told his grandmother Kerry Daniels he wanted to do for the Carrie’s Place All Sorts Christmas Giving Tree campaign.
The campaign asks for donations of non-perishable foods and toys to give to people experiencing domestic violence and homelessness.
Ms Daniels is a governance committee member at Carrie’s Place and said it made her very emotional that her grandson had the thought to want to help others at his young age.
“It was a very proud moment,” she said. “You know you’ve done something beautiful in life when you see your children and grandchildren succeed like that.
“He said ‘I’ve had so much fun with all these gifts and want someone else to enjoy them’. It very much touches your heart.”
Donations will be taken at Maitland Park Bowling Club until December 15.
