On Wednesday, Maitland is likely to experience a 70 per cent chance of rain, and a maximum temperature of 27 degrees.
On Thursday, there will be a 60 per cent chance of rain, with a maximum temperature of 28.
While the temperature may rise and fall a little over the coming week, it is not likely to reach the scorching heights experienced at the weekend.
At Tuesday afternoon, the highest maximum forecast temperature in the week ahead was Saturday, with a maximum of 37 degrees.
