Day one at the 2018 Maitland Show delivers fun and thrills for all

From fearless bull riders to the style and history of the showgirl contest, day one at the Maitland Show delivered a smorgasbord of fun and thrills.

Whether donning your Akubra and getting up close and personal with the rodeo action is your thing, or scaring yourself silly on one of the seemingly gravity defying rides, the Maitland Mercury caught up with day one action.

And the great news is the fun continues on Saturday and with an array of activities for all tastes from early to the fireworks at 9pm
