Four men were captured on CCTV footage at the Regal Hunter Hotel on Metford Road about 4.15am and then again at 5.45am on Saturday.

The offenders gained access to the building via a side door and disabled the alarm.

Police said the thieves found their way into the manager’s office where they stole a large amount of cash.

Bourbon, rum and tobacco were also taken from the bottle shop attached to the pub.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Information should be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
