Celebrating all things from the 1950s and 1960s, there’s something for everyone with a weekend of rock n roll, music, cars, free entertainment, market stalls and much more.
The festival kicks off Friday with a free family fun night from 5pm in Rotary Park with Jumpin’ Jukebox and Eagle Rocks.
The Shannon’s Show and Shine on Saturday and Sunday is one of the major drawcards, with an amazing display of immaculate classic cars and hot rods.
The Retro Market Place brings together some of the biggest and best nostalgia-themed retro and vintage market stalls from across the country. You’ll find themed merchandise, retro goods, vintage clothing, rock ’n roll memorabilia and collectables.
There’s nostalgia-themed food stalls, sideshow alley, dance floors and plenty for the car enthusiasts. And lots of free entertainment on Saturday and Sunday between 8.30am and 4pm.
Getting dressed up is part of the fun of the weekend. The Best Dressed competitions are so popular that there are four different categories on both Saturday and Sunday – Traditional, Miss Modern Day, Couples and Juniors.
The Rock ‘N Roll Express is back at Richmond Vale Railway Museum, with a steam train ride, live entertainment and dancing on Friday and Saturday night.
You can also enjoy a night out at Weston Workers Club and Kurri Kurri Bowling Club over the weekend.
Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival is thrilled to partner with the Burlesque Idol Australia competition for the first time in 2018. Finalists will be drawn from shows held in capital/major cities across Australia, culminating in the grand finale on Friday, March 23 at Weston Workers Club.
The show features a dazzling array of rising burlesque talents, a comedian host and a panel of judges comprised of burlesque promoters, producers, and world-renowned burlesque artists.
