On Friday, Stockland Green Hills welcomed the official opening of their newest food outlet – TGI Fridays.
The franchise began in New York in the 1960s and has been growing in popularity ever since.
This latest addition at Green Hills is a first for the Hunter region, and the 11th of its kind in Australia.
While you could find the chain in 61 countries around the world, there is something unique about the Maitland restaurant.
The layout is a world-first design, and the special menu incorporates local produce.
Signature Hospitality Group CEO James Sinclair said he thought the Stockland redevelopment at Green Hills was amazing.
“When we looked around the area we thought the product would be well received in the greater Maitland area,” he said.
“Fridays is a fun, American-style brand, but in this restaurant particularly we’ve got a really great American menu of high quality family favourites – wings, steaks, salads, burgers, ribs.”
TGI Fridays is located in Green Hills’ new outdoor dining precinct.
