Maitland Football For All celebrates Pink Sports Day | Photos

The spirit was willing but the cold won out as the majority of Maitland Football For All players covered up their pink shirts with two or three layers of jackets and jumpers.

Maitland Football For All celebrated Pink Sports Day on Saturday at Robins Oval and teams from Singleton, Cessnock and Thornton joined in the fun playing games at under-6, under-7, under-9 and under-11s.

Pink Sports Day is a fund-raising initiative for the Breast Cancer Support Council and money was raised with the sale of pink coloured lollies, cakes, cookies and merchandise.

The pink gloves and beanies were particularly popular as a sharp wind blew across the ground.

Maitland Football For All offers sporting opportunities for children with special needs and has won awards for it’s ground-breaking work in including children of all abilities in sport.

Teams from across the Hunter travel to Maitland to play against the MFFA teams.
