All Saints’ College have hit the ground running in the NRL Schoolboy Cup, blowing past St Greg’s Campbelltown in their first match in the premier schoolboy rugby league competition.

“It was a good, solid game. We led the whole way and Campbelltown scored a few tries off of our mistakes,” sports co-ordinator Colin Love said of the 34-16 win.
Among the best for the Maitland side were Knights under 18s backrower Timanu Alexander and Kurri under 17s hooker Lewis Hughes.
The win was all the more impressive as it came without Jock Madden, who played at five-eighth for the NSW U18s in the State of Origin curtain raiser on Wednesday night.
In another boost for the boys, the match was filmed and will be televised on Fox Sports in the coming weeks.

“The exposure is great for them,” Love said.
They’ll play another city team, Matraville Sports High School, in the next round on Wednesday.
