To celebrate the special nature of Maitland’s main street, we are taking a look back its ever-changing face over the decades.
The latest development in the local icon’s story was the opening of the Riverlink Building.
The final stage of the city’s $17 million Levee project opened to the public during Maitland Taste Festival 2018 in March.
Construction on the building, the second component of The Levee development, began in 2016 and was funded with $9.92 million from the NSW Liberal National Government’s Resources for Regions program.
High Street has been the focal point for many things – from everyday shopping, to local events like the 2018 Maitland River Run.
