Rutherford singer, dancer and actor David Harris will play a key role in State of Origin III when he sings the National Anthem before the game.
The triple threat will belt out Advance Australia Fair in front of tens of thousands of footy fans prior to kickoff at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night.
The performance comes amidst David’s role as Tick in Priscilla The Musical, which is showing in Sydney until July 21.
The former Rutherford Public School student has starred in stage shows all over the world, including New York City where he is based.
Speaking to Fairfax Media about his role in Priscilla The Musical, David said he felt honoured to be able to work in both New York and Australia.
“I feel like I live two different lives,” he said. “I feel very blessed to be able to live and work in both countries.”
