A woman was taken to the John Hunter Hospital after the car she was driving hit a telegraph pole in Central Maitland on Thursday morning.

The woman, aged in her 20s, tried to drive a white Holden Barina into the Riverside Car Park off St Andrews Street just before 9.30am when the car hit a pole.
Police, ambulance and Fire and Rescue were called out to the scene.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the woman was trapped by confinement for a short period of time before she was freed from the vehicle.
The woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital by ambulance after suffering neck and back pain.
Part of St Andrews Street was blocked off while emergency services responded to the incident.
