They hit the ground running at the site, near Metford Road at Tenambit, on Wednesday with weeding, planting activities and some bush tucker.
“Employees may gain new skills and knowledge, enjoy a sense of achievement and fulfilment, develop personally and boost self-esteem, as well as connect to and better understand their community and our fragile environment,” Earthcare Park Landcare chair Eric Huber said.
The area is a natural haven for an increasingly number of animal and indigenous plant life.

The group hosted the volunteers through Landcare Australia’s Corporate Environmental Volunteering (CEV) program, which has been running for over 20 years and contributes to Australian partnerships between the community, government and business to better manage Australia’s crucial land and water assets.
“The Earthcare park Landcare group manages some 55Ha of ecologically endangered remnant of spotted gum and ironbark forest,” Mr Huber said.
