The fit-out for Maxi Save supermarket is about to begin ahead of the opening in late September.
Spokesman Kieran Rogers said shoppers would find everything from pet products to linen and gardening items at the store – as well as the normal range of supermarket groceries and fresh food.
He said the quality of the products would be high and the price would be affordable.
“There’s nothing like it here, we always make sure that it’s affordable. If we can’t sell it cheap we won’t sell it,” he said.
“We are more top brands and we try to sell it the most competitive price – as cheaply as possible.
“That’s our goal.”
The supermarket has moved into the former Sam's Warehouse building on the corner of Elgin Street and Ken Tubman Drive.
The venture will employ 30 people.
Sam’s Warehouse was once the main tenant in the space and there were several other specialty shops operating from the same location.
