The pooch picnic a day dedicated to canine pals with pet pampering stalls and competitions.
Renowned dog trainer Kelly Gill and her team of talented border collies, the Wonderdogs will perform their popular trick shows and training demonstrations.
There will be plenty of food and wine for the humans as well.
The pooch picnic was created as an extension of the Pepper Tree Pet Club to raise funds for local animal rescue organisations.
“The Pooch Picnic is a way for us to celebrate all our four-legged friends,” Pepper Tree Wines’ Michelle Preece said. “Our head winemaker Gwyn Olsen’s dog Spencer is a regular visitor at Pepper Tree Wines and is often seen wandering the grounds and greeting visitors at the cellar door.”
The event runs 10.30am to 2.30pm. Entry is by gold coin donation, which supports Dog Rescue Newcastle. Dogs must be social and on a leash. Bring your own rugs, chairs and dog tidy bags.
