He heard about the devastating drought across 99.8 per cent of NSW and decided he wanted to do something about it.
So he raided his piggy bank and added it up. It came to $100 and he gave it all to charity Rural Aid and its Buy A Bale program.
But his desire to make a difference didn’t end there.

Max is doing his bit to help the farmers during his daily routine – he’s taking short showers to save water. He knows the farmers need the water more than he does.
“The farmers need the water because they don’t have any to grow their crops and to give to their animals,” he said.
“It’s nice [to help], they might need food for the cows and pigs and sheep and chickens.
“They had no water left and so did the animals. I take quick showers because they get more water and I get less.”
