Male and female club representatives were happy to bare all for a 2019 calendar to raise funds for the Buy a Bale drought relief campaign.
While proceeds from the $20 calendars are going to a serious cause, the production of it was absolutely hilarious according to Pickers publicity officer Sarah Delaney.
“It was so much fun,” Sarah said. “It took a bit of convincing for the footballers, who get naked in the showers every week, to get their gear off but they came around in the end and realised the end goal was for a good cause,” she added.
Two hundred calendars were printed and can be purchased via the club’s Facebook page or at their sponsors’ business outlets, including Reid’s Butchery Telarah, Quinn’s on Melbourne, F45 Gym Green Hills and BBQ’s Galore Maitland.
Plans for a calendar were initially flagged to raise money for the club. “With all the news on the drought we decided to do it for the farmers,” Sarah said. “We called our sponsors and they were on board, we had the help of two photographers and in two weeks it was printed. One hundred calendars have already been sold.”
