Close to 100 people attended the September 1 event with Gresford Joliffe family members joined by relatives who travelled from South Australia, Queensland, Sydney, Newcastle, the Upper Hunter, North Coast and Maitland.
Diane Galligan’s book Oliver's Travels, which gives a detailed family history of original settlers Oliver and Harriet Joliffe was launched on the day.
This year marks 150 years since Oliver’s first selection of 40 acres at Mount Royal.
A large display of photos and maps provided great talking points for the family with many stories shared during the day.
