Adam Clydsdale has capped off his outstanding season taking out the Maitland Pickers first grade player of the year awards on Friday night.

Clydsdale added the Pickers top prize to Newcastle Rugby League player of the year and players’ player awards he took out in September.
The hooker also won the the club and first grade players’ player award and coach’s award at the presentation night at the Pickers new home Club Maitland City.
Front-rower Brenton Horwood, who was recognised with Tylar Carter for their 100th first grade games, won the best forward award.
Centre Josh Griffiths won the best back award.
In the under-19 premiership season Jye Bieman-King was best back, Ben McIlwrath was best forward, Junior Tuivaiti won players’ player and Gary Anderson won the coach’s award.
In the major club awards, Jackie Howard was club person of the year, Ben Ireland won the Harry Hofman award, Jeremy Gibson was rookie of the year and Luke Mercer was recognised with the president’s award.
Gibson and Cody Clulow were recognised for making their first grade debuts.
Merv Fulford, Steve Hardy and Peter “Crackers” Callinan were presented with 10 year service awards.
