The couple announced the birth of a baby girl, Harriet Anne, on Monday.
In a post on his Instagram account, Alex shared a photo holding his new daughter while at the bedside of wife Teigan.
The post said “Happy Anniversary” in a nod to the year since the couple’s Hunter Valley wedding.
The two were married in front of family and friends after McKinnon fulfilled his promise to rise from his wheelchair on their wedding day.

McKinnon’s promising rugby league career was cut short when he suffered a spinal cord injury playing for the Newcastle Knights in March 2014.
He spent four weeks in intensive care following the tackle, then six months in Sydney undergoing rehabilitation and five months on the Gold Coast.
McKinnon has since become a corporate speaker and recently returned to the Knights on a part-time basis to help with recruitment.
