The Thornton mother recently returned from the 2018 Milestone Pageants Mrs Global International World competition in Johannesburg, South Africa, with an array of accolades.
Judges not only crowned her with the overall title of Mrs International Global World 2018, but she also received the Woman of Compassion award and the Humanity Ambassador award.
In the lead up to the big ceremony, Ms Turner trained alongside more than 30 women from around the world, and she was rewarded for her hard work with the international recognition.
“The most rewarding part was winning the big one but the Humanity Ambassador means a lot,” she said.
“The Woman of Compassion award is for somebody who has compassion for their people and other cultures.”
She may be home now, but she is showing no signs of slowing down, with local and international judging gigs on the horizon.
“What it all is about is connecting with people from all around the world," she said.
“It gives you a sense of belonging it helps to build up your self esteem and you gain friendships too.”
Ms Turner hopes to encourage other women in Australia to join the worldwide pageant community, insisting it is more than meets the eye.
“I wish more women would get involved,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter what size you are, it’s about who you are inside,” she said.
