In fact Maitland is likely to experience four seasons over the next seven days with temperatures expected to fluctuate from the high 30s to an overnight minimum of 11 degrees on Friday.
Throw in a possible thunderstorm, a little wind and the chance of 20 to 35 millimetres of rain and we can be forgiven for thinking we live in the fickle weather capital of Australia – Melbourne.
While the city was expected to swelter on Tuesday with a top of 38 degrees, the mercury is forecast to tumble to 27 on Wednesday with a 100 per cent chance of rain and a possible thunder storm.
The Bureau of Meteorology reports that showers are expected to ease on Thursday with the daytime temperature set to hit a top of just 20 degrees and an 80 per cent chance of rain.
On Friday we can expect an overnight minimum of 11 degrees and a top of 24, Saturday’s top is 26, Sunday, 25 and Monday partly cloudy and 26 degrees.
