Artist and historian Holly McNamee’s Pastoral Suite exhibition features 26 images – all for sale – showcasing our disappearing pastoral industry.
“There are dairy and hay sheds, loading yards, that sort of thing,” Holly said. “Also works on some of the Tocal suites, and the Belltrees shearing shed outside Scone.
“I have a real passion for these sort of places and they’re disappearing under our noses, being swallowed up by housing developments and urban sprawl.”
The exhibition is open from Friday to Sunday this weekend and again next weekend, from 10am to 3pm.
“We have a proud pastoral tradition here, and some people would move to the area without even being aware of it,” Holly said.
“It would be tragic if we let it slip away.”
