A man is due to face Maitland Local Court on Monday after being charged in relation to a stabbing police claim happened over a missing mobile phone at Telarah.

Police said multiple people were at a Brooks Street home about 11.30pm on Friday when an argument broke out over the missing phone.
A man was then stabbed in the chest and taken to John Hunter Hospital via ambulance.
Police were called and arrested a 46-year-old man, who was later charged with malicious wounding.
He is due to appear in Maitland Local Court on Monday.
