Fort, 17, became player No.443 to represent Northern Districts in the Sydney first-grade competition.
He nabbed a run out Saturday, but is yet to bat with the home side 1-57 in reply to Parramatta’s 179 at Mark Taylor Oval. .
Fort was an integral part of the Northern Suburbs first grade team over the previous two seasons and had been playing in second grade at Northern District for the first five rounds batting in the key spot at No.3.
He was rewarded with first grade selection at Northern District after a match-saving inning of 76 against Sydney in round 4.
His clean-hitting innings included 10 fours and three sixes and followed a round two knock of 38 against Mosman.
A batting all-rounder Fort was awarded the Kookaburra Youth Player of the Year at the Country Cricket NSW awards after a season which included selection in the Australian Under-17 team which competed in the National Under-19 championships.
He was named in the Country NSW/ACT under-19 team for this year’s under-19 titles.
