Maitland council is seeking feedback in the form of a survey to help shape the future direction the gaol.
It comes after council was recently appointed as the Crown Land Manager for Maitland Gaol, which represents a change in the way the site can be operated and developed.
“We want to hear from our regular Maitland Gaol visitors but just as important, we are also interested in hearing the perspective of people who have not visited the Gaol,” Maitland Gaol coordinator Gordon Sauber said said.
The survey gives people the opportunity to have their say but also provide feedback through an interactive map.
“We would like to hear everyone’s ideas, big and small,” Mr Sauber said.
“It could be anything from improvements as a tourism attraction, to exploring accommodation options or even opportunities for different business models and offerings.”
