Officers arrested a 43-year-old man on Wednesday over an armed robbery at a New England Highway service station the morning before.
Police allege two men entered the store before an employee was pushed and threatened with a bottle after refusing to hand over cigarettes.
The man was charged with armed robbery and granted bail to appear before the court on January 31.
Police said on Friday they were still trying to identify another man in relation to the incident.
A 15-year-old girl has also been charged in relation to an incident at Victoria Street train station on January 12 in which a 15-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed.
The girl was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
A 14-year-old boy was also charged the day after the incident.
