Award winning football club Lochinvar Rovers are holding a Girls Come and Try Day on Sunday morning.

Catering for four-year-olds and up, the club has a thriving junior program with girls teams at various age group.
Last year Rovers was named Hunter Valley Football’s club of the year for its many achievements including becoming the first club in Australia to receive Level 3 Accreditation through the National Coach Accreditation Scheme.
The come and try day runs from 10am at the Lochinvar Sports Centre will feature players and the coach from Women’s Premier League team Wallsend FC and the hunter Valley Football Association technical director Mick Jarvis.
“It’s a great opportunity to bring your daughter along to have a kick and see if she wants to join the female football community as we head towards a World Cup where our Matildas will be in for a great shot,” Rovers secretary Lisa Duhig said.
The Girls Come and Try Day is at the Lochinvar Sports Centre from 10am.
