Wind and Dusty Callagan (49) shared in a 185-run partnership to set up Maitland's scored of 257 all out against Blacktown.

Wind's innings included 13 fours and seven sixes on a day when he, Callaghan and Alex Lidbury (13 not out) were the only Maitland batsman to reach double figures.

Maitland had a stop-start campaign in the under-16s with two games rained out, relegating them to third behind top team Manly Waringah who defeated Sutherland for the title.

The young Maitland team made up for the disappointment of missing the title game with a 75-run victory, dismissing Blacktown for 182.

Cameron Wynn claimed his third bag of three wickets for the competition finishing with 3-38 off nine overs in the play-off. Hunter Ball took 2-20, Alex Lidbury 2-28 and Ben Crebet and Reilly Bashford picked up a wicket each for Maitland.

Half-centuries by North Shore batsmen Lachlan Maxwell (77) and Oliver Chandler-Evans (54) proved the difference as Maitland put up a brave fight in the under-15 grand final.

The best of the bowlers were Jay Boyd 4-21, Jed Collins 2-22, Lachlan Page 1-32 and Ben Parkinson 1-33 as North Shore made 202.

Maitland needed things to go right for them from the start, but unfortunately they quickly found themselves 3-27, with Daniel Harden particularly unlucky to be out on 13.

Skipper Lachlan Page and Max Farmer started to resurrect the innings until Farmer was caught behind for 11. Page top scored with 36 runs before holing out chasing boundaries.

There was some fight at the end, with Ben Parkinson and Jordan Wells providing the highlights with a massive six each over the mid-wicket.

Maitland was eventually bowled out for 126, giving North Shore a deserved 76-run title win.

The Maitland under-13 team had a bye on the weekend. They travel to meet Hornsby Red on Sunday in the title decider with Hornsby Red on top of the table on 28 points, one point ahead of Maitland in second place.

Maitland (eighth) play Central Coast (ninth) in the final game of the under-12 IDCA competition at McKillop Oval at Kincumber South.

Last Sunday, Maitland was dismissed for 93 by Inner West Harbour who finished six-wicket winners.

In under-14s, Maitland had a 28-run win against Canterbury Wests at King Edward Park, East Maitland on Sunday.

Led by 52 to Joe Hancock and 40 by Tom Porter, Maitland posted 198 from their 50 overs, with Patrick Stewart (14), James Green (16),  Lucas Hickling (11), Aidan Eather (11) and Thomas Lovegrove (10) all making good contributions.

Hancock and Joseph Druery were the chief wicket-takers picking up 2-10 and 2-17 respectively.

Maitland play Newcastle at Allen Davis Field in their final game on Sunday.
