The great news is that this year’s tournament at Kurri Kurri Sportsground on Saturday is even bigger and features all three Coalfields powerhouses Kurri Kurri, Cessnock and Maitland.
Other Coalfields teams include the Mitch Day Memorial Bears, Aberglasslyn Ants and Greta Branxton Colts.
Newcastle Rugby League clubs Western Suburbs and South Newcastle are back and will be joined by Central Newcastle as well this year.
The first game kicks off at 10am and games start every 20 minutes through to 4.40pm. The semi-finals are at 5.10pm and 5.40pm with the grand final at 6.30pm. The winners takes home $5000 and runners up $1000.
