Last year, a record-breaking 2792 animals found their furever homes across the country in the RSPCA’s most successful adoption promotion to date.
Regional manager Debbie Jaggers said the Rutherford was packed to the rafters with animals looking for their fur-ever home.
"It's our major adoption event of the year. Most of the animals will be $29 and the animals that are normally $40 or less will be free," she said. "We will still be doing all our regular processes to ensure a good match."
This includes one-on-ones with prospective adoptive parents and future fur-siblings.
The animals will have already been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and undergone veterinary checks and behavioural assessments.
"Adopting a pet is the best thing anyone can do in their life," Ms Jaggers added.
