Greta Medical Centre has undergone some significant change in recent times, extending the services that the practice offers and bringing patient health to the fore.
First operating in 1981 to 2009 under Dr Nanda, the centre came under the care of Dr Jyoti in 2009.
In 2012 construction began to establish a new building that would provide multi-disciplinary services to the community, bringing a further three full time doctors to the practice.
There is also a pathology service located at the practice.
In 2017 further expansion took place that included an onsite ultra-sonography service for musculoskeletal cortisone based intervention.
"We were even lucky enough to have a dentist come on board to allow the community access to oral health services," says practice manager, Paul.
The centre provides a holistic approach to patient well being with a raft of allied health services including a psychologist, physiotherapist, podiatrist, diabetic educator, dietitian and an exercise physiologist.
"We are very much focused on improving our patients' health and to be able to provide them with all of these medical facilities under one roof is fantastic.
"We pride ourselves on doing our utmost to get the best for all of our patients and improve their health outcomes." Added Paul.
There are now six doctors at the practice: Dr Jiwan Jyoti (JJ) FRACGP MBBS DCH BSc and trainer for the GP Registrar, University of Newcastle and Sydney University. Dr Maninder Deep FRACGP MBBS DCH, Dr Azhar Shabbir MBBS, Dr P.M. Perera MBBS, Dr I. Nanda, MBBS and Dr R. Mehrotra who is a specialist general surgeon.
