The stage is all set for the second edition of T10 Smash to blast off in Maitland on Sunday with 12 teams, including the Kurri Brothers from Kurri Kurri, competing at Johnston Reserve on Mount Pleasant Street.

The tournament is organised by the Newcastle Hunters in association with Hunter Malayalee Samajam and Cricket NSW and has a multicultural flavour with Southern Indian cuisine to tempt tastebuds on the sidelines.
Masterton T10 Smash spokesman Basil Elias said 10-over format tournament is the biggest multicultural hard ball cricket tournament to date in the Hunter Region.
"The title winners will pocket $1000 and the runners-up will take home $500 for their cricketing skills," Elias said.
There will be 15 matches including two semi-finals and the grand final and around 120 players will take part in the event, kicking off from 7.15am. The grand final is scheduled for 3.30pm.
Aijo Issac, Newcastle Hunters captain and a key organiser of the event, said the popularity of the event was well beyond their initial expectations and there were 12 top cricketing teams across NSW taking part in this year’s tournament.
“Excitement is sky high and we all are fired up for the big day in the history of Newcastle Hunters," Isaac said.
“We are sure that some cracking games are in store for us."
."The home team, Newcastle Hunters will be playing in Group B where they will be taking on the Kairali Thunders from Penrith and Kurri Brothers from Kurri Kurri.
Group A features the Gain All Stars from Sydney, Gong Tuskers from Wollongong and Elermorewale Lions from Newcastle. Group C consists of Sydney Blue Hawks, Sydney Indians and Newcastle Stars. Group D comprises Wyong Warriors, Dubbo Rhinos and Viratians from Central Coast.
