Which team or teams that will be is anyone's guess?
City United and Thornton have booked their semi-final spots and will seemingly play off for the minor premiership in their two-day game which starts at Thornton No.1 on Saturday.
But an outright victory by any one of the three other teams - Kurri Weston, Western Suburbs or Northern Suburbs - chasing the remaining two spots in the semis could see them take out the minor premiership.
After Northern Suburbs beat City United last round to keep their finals hopes alive, Norths skipper Mike Wilson says the closeness of the competition is fantastic for Maitland cricket.
It's fantastic for Maitland cricket to have such a close competition," Wilson said.
"How good is that, five teams in the running for finals
"We worked out we could miss the finals or finish minor premiers if things fell our way.
"We could win outright and be minor premiers or we could lose and be out of the finals.
"That is how close it is, it is brilliant. It's brilliant for Maitland cricket."
