Hosted by the Kurri Kurri Junior Motorcycle Club the Casey Stoner Cup features competitors from as young as four right through to leading senior riders.
The club has been working frantically to ensure the event went ahead after thieves and vandals struck their track and associated facilities over the new year.
Club media spokesperson Charmaine Lodge said with some amazing support from our sponsors especially SolidEngineering, Singelton outdoor motors and the Hotel Denman Abermain we're back on our feet.
Lodge said the club had a great response to their first round of the club championship with an influx of new members, some travelling eight hours to support the club.
"It meant a lot to the club to see so many new and old faces there on the day.
"Our local MP Clayton Barr was there for our 40th anniversary celebrations and to present a $5000 grant from the state government.
"Our next big event is the annual Casey Stoner Cup sponsored by Tradecore Industries, another of our regular supporters of the club, to be held on March 24-25.
"Prize money donated by Tradecore industries will see the senior and junior cup winners awarded with money and the perpetual trophy which will have their name engraved on the trophy along with past champions of The Casey Stoner Cup."
Lodge said while overall numbers were down across the categories, the quality of entries was just as high as usual.
"The club held the NSW titles last year and we had a boost of numbers with many riders coming along to ride on the track ahead of the titles," she said.
"We are a bit down on our seniors, but we only had the NSW titles at Gunnedah two weeks ago.
"The quality is still very high and that's from right across Australia, although we have some really hot contenders in various categories from within our club ranks and the wider Hunter.
Jarrod Brooks is overseas racing and last year's champion Mackenzie Childs is not riding, but our Casey Stoner Cup race includes Boyd Hollis, Ky Andrews and Angus Hutchison who just turned senior last year and has been riding very well.
"Connor Ryan is very competitive and is likely to be the one to beat. Bailey Spencer, from Coffs Harbour, is likely to feature high in calculations for the meeting.
"For our juniors, Harris Ryan and Luke Bush are in really great form and there will be plenty of contenders and we have two grids of racers for the junior section."
Entry is $5 per car, with full amenities and canteen available on both days. Racing starts from 9am
